Lori's Brunswick Stew

Brunswick Stew - Lori A.

  • 4 chicken breasts, cut up
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 teaspoon freeze-dried garlic  2 ribs celery, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can corn
  • 1/2 can (200 ml) black beans
  • 1/2 can (400 ml) of diced tomatoes
  • 2 small potatoes, cubed
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon plain Tabasco
  • ¼ teaspoon marjoram
  • 2 Tablespoon butter
Place everything in the crockpot and cook on high for 6 hours. Add cornbread (or biscuits) and you have a meal! Serves 6-8.
