The lesson this week was taught by Sister Johnson (Stake RS Presidency) and President Spackman. We discussed the importance of worship and some ways to worship - through scripture study, at church and in the temple. We were encouraged to spend a little more time worshipping those things that are really important in our lives and a little less time on other things that might take up our valuable time. We were also reminded of one of the stake goals - to be worthy to receive and honor our temple covenants. We discussed the purpose of the temple which is to connect men and women with God. We are connected with God through the covenants we make at baptism and when we attend the temple. President Spackman challenged each of us to take some time in the celestial room of the temple to contemplate what we learned there and even reverently discuss these things with a close friend or spouse there.
Next week's lesson will be on unity and the talk "Stand Tall and Stand Together."

So go out and share you talents with others this week!!

This week's lesson was on reverence. We received counsel from the bishopric about increasing our reverence at church, in the temple, in our homes, in every aspect of our lives. Reverence is not only being quiet but having a deep respect and love for our Savior and Heavenly Father. As we are reverent we will open ourselves to receive revelation and allow that opportunity for others.

Next week is Stake Conference.
