This week's lesson was on the conference talk "The Transforming Power of Faith and Character" by Elder Richard G. Scott. We discussed how struggles help to build character and learning from those struggles helps to build our faith so we can endure our struggles. Elder Scott said, "If you have determined to live righteously, don't become discouraged. Life may seem difficult now, but hold on tightly to the iron rod of truth. You are making better progress than you realize."

Next week's lesson is on Motherhood - in all its various forms.

The lesson this week was Chapter 30 - Charity. In the lesson there are four suggestions for developing charity. First, study the life of Jesus Christ and keep His commandments. Second, when we have uncharitable feelings, we can pray to have greater charity. Third, we can learn to love ourselves, which means that we understand our true worth as children of our Heavenly Father. And fourth, we can avoid thinking we are better than other people and have patience with their faults.

Next week's lesson is Chapter 31 - Honesty.
